Uniting Families From Around the Globe
Under the U.S. immigration and Nationality Act, individuals can immigrate to this country based on their family relationship with a current U.S. citizen or lawfully permanent resident (green card holder). Family immigration occurs when your relative sponsors you into the U.S. through a petition that will give you a green card. Green cards authorize you to live and work anywhere in the U.S. and allows you to seek U.S. citizenship after three or five years.
